Drive Transfer Update

Data Transfer Popup in gPanel

Drive Transfer is getting an update on Tuesday, May 19. We are switching to the latest and greatest API from Google, which is a Data Transfer API. This means that Drive Transfer in gPanel will be changing slightly.

This feature will be in the same place, it will just look and act different. You will simply choose the original user and then the destination user that you’d like to transfer the Drive to.

What’s Changing?

  • Previously you were able to choose between transferring all docs or a particular folder to the destination user. In the new functionality the entire Drive will be transferred to the destination user.
  • Previously you were able to choose an action to take on the transferring document’s shares. For example, you could leave the previous owner as an editor or viewer. In the new functionality there will not be an option to choose an action and the previous owner will be left as an editor.

New UI for Resource Calendars Beta

gpanel-resourcecalendarsbeta-newui

We are excited to let you know that we are in the process of redesigning gPanel to help you manage your domain faster and easier than ever before. The new design will be simple, modern, and easy to use. We will be continually rolling out the new UI as more features are updated.

The first section that has been updated with the new UI is Resource Calendars Beta. All functionality of this feature is staying exactly the same—the only thing changing is the design. This feature will be staying in beta for 30 days and then will be released to everyone.

Stay tuned for more updates and resources regarding the new UI!
